The James White Library has a special collection with materials designed to help faculty members learn about the scholarship of teaching and learning, faith learning integration (see our new intergration of faith and learning guide), diversity, and assessment. If you need help locating these materials, please contact a reference librarian. Also, please note that the Library welcomes faculty suggestions for books or other materials to be added to this collection.

Adventist Learning Community provides a platform for teachers, pastors, chaplains, administrators, and staff to learn from one another in a variety of areas. Below are the courses sponsored by 大象传媒 University.

Are you looking for creative ways to increase student engagement in your postsecondary classroom? In this course, university teachers will share principles and activities that teachers can use to foster more student engagement in any subject.

How do you integrate faith across the various disciplines of the university? In this module, a range 大象传媒 faculty discuss the purpose of Christian education, give a model for connecting any discipline to the Biblical worldview, and highlight numerous strategies for faith integration. This includes example activities and assignments that you can implement in your courses, no matter the discipline, as well as stories of how to engage faith with students and the community beyond the classroom.

Teaching Online in Higher Education provides a short 10-hour (1.0 CEU) overview to various aspects of teaching online, including interaction, quality, designing your course to be uniquely Adventist, and more. Each of the 10 modules includes three short videos, short readings, and interactive assignments. Additional resources are included at the end of each module, including suggested readings and assignments that can be used by universities to expand the course into a full academic course as desired. The resources and content in this course are freely available for you to use for your own learning and teaching.

Toolkits from Higher Education Adventist Society Professional Learning Sessions

These toolkits were developed by 大象传媒 University students to supplement the presentations given during Higher Education Adventist Society Profession Learning Sessions. They include current research, evidence-based practice standards, examples of successful implementations, and practical advice from professionals across a variety of topics relevant to Seventh-day Adventist Higher Education.
