--- FAQ ---

Q: What if I'm not available on this date?
A: It is advised that you find someone to come as a representative for you to rent the plot. There may not be any plots left after the event.

Q: Can I plant corn or other tall crops?
A: Only on double plots and only on the EAST side of the double plot, so that your tall crops do not put shadows on anyone else's crops.

Q: What are the garden rules?
A: Garden Rules:
1. Plant only inside garden perimeters. Plants growing outside of garden perimeter will be mowed over.
2. You must supply your own tools and garden hose; there are no rental items available.
3. Plant crops that can be harvested this season.
4. Leave all corner stakes and numbered stakes where they are.
5. Leave walkways between plots so you and your neighbor have a place to walk
back and forth.
6. Do not use any kind of metal posts inside your garden as this may damage expensive tractor tires.
7. Do not use plastic mulch/coverings. We ask that you use biodegradable options.
8. Please do not pile rocks, soil, or potting material around exterior edges of the
garden as they make it difficult to mow around the outside of the garden.
9. Please keep your plot clean and weeded at all times. If excessively weedy, plots will be mowed for weed control.
10. Keep insects under control. They spread to other gardens.
11.    Limit any method of watering to 2 hours per day. Never leave a hose running unattended. Moisture can be preserved and controlled by mulching and also by keeping weeds under control.
12. All crops must be harvested, and plots cleaned out by October 31st so that the area can be prepared for winter. After harvesting, please pick up all lumber, string, tools, planting support devices, and wire when clearing the area used. Any gardening materials (hoses, stakes, etc.) left in the gardens will be donated.
